My Story
I've always found that the outdoors has a way of putting things into perspective - the rhythm of the tide, the quiet of a woodland walk, the space to simply breathe. That connection to nature sits at the heart of how I work as a counsellor, and it's something I try to bring into every session, whether we're talking indoors or walking along the coast.
I hold a BA (Hons) and I'm a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), working within their Ethical Framework. My approach is person-centred: I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with warmth, empathy and complete acceptance - not to direct or diagnose, but to help you find your own way through.
"I'm very holistic in how I work - mind, body and environment all play a part in how we heal."
My Approach
Person-centred counselling is built on three core conditions: unconditional positive regard, empathy, and congruence (genuineness). In practice, that means you'll never feel judged, rushed, or like you need to perform being "okay." I bring a gentle, holistic lens to our work together - often weaving in mindfulness and grounding techniques inspired by the natural world, to help create a real sense of flow and calm in our sessions.
- Unconditional positive regard - you're accepted here, without conditions.
- Deep empathy - I listen to understand your world as you experience it.
- Mindful & holistic - grounding techniques and a gentle nature-informed flow.
- Genuine & congruent - real, honest presence, session after session.
